Cellana strigilis strigilis is a subspecies of large limpet, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Nacellidae, one of the families of true limpets.

This subspecies is endemic to New Zealand's sub-Antarctic Auckland and Campbell islands.
[edit] Shell description
The shell is very large and solid, broadly ovate, and of high profile. It is coarsely radially ribbed with about 20 primary ribs, with a much weaker rib in each interspace.
The external shell coloration is light brown, spotted and streaked with yellowish-white. The interior is rayed in dark brown and cross maculated, with the muscle attachment mark on the underside of the shell yellowish-brown.
The maximum shell length is 80 mm, width 68 mm, and height 39 mm.
