Cellana denticulata, or the denticulate limpet, is a species of true limpet, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Nacellidae, one of the families of true limpets.

This species is endemic to the North Island and the northern half of the South Island of New Zealand.

This limpet is found on intertidal rocks.

[edit] Shell description

The shell of this species is large, solid, elevated, strongly, closely, and regularly radially ribbed, the surface crossed by numerous lamellose concentric ridges that thicken into granulose scales where they cross the radials.

The external shell coloration is greyish, with the ribs, and a netted interstitial pattern, dark-brown. The interior has the external pattern showing through, in brown or purplish-brown.

The maximum shell length is 70 mm, width 60 mm, and height 30 mm.
