Celithemis fasciata Kirby, 1889 |
The Banded Pennant, Celithemis fasciata, is a dragonfly found in North America, in the Pennant genus of dragonflies. The extensive, sharply defined black markings on its wings are distinctive, though the pattern varies considerably; individuals from the northern part of its range tend to have less wing coloration.[1]
It is small, being about 1 3/8 inches. It lives around ponds, lakes and sand bottom lakes ditches.
