Celia Takada (born March 1, 1959 in Bilac, São Paulo, Brazil) is journalist and researcher on immigration issues. A former contributor to the daily newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo, she moved to Japan in 1998 to work as columnist for the IPC/International Press in Nagoya, covering the delicate relationships between Latinos and locals. She's currently based in Italy serving as correspondent from Europe for the Revista Alternativa. Her sharp articles describing the condition of Brazilian immigrants in Japan had a large echo in public debate.
