Does anyone know if it was selective-fire? It would make sense if it was supposed to have ordinary rifle duties in addition to burst-firing, but I don't know if selective-fire existed at the time. Anyone know what the first selective-fire weapon was? Boris B 07:11, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

-According to "An Illustrated Guide to Rifles and Automatic Weapons", the Cei-rigotti was indeed capable of single shots or burst fire.

I can't find any reference to the firearm having been developed by a Cei then modified by a Rigotti. Rather all accounts seem to point to the same person, Amerigo Cei-Rigotti. Will change article to reflect this unless someone can provide proof that there were seperate persons.
