Cefnpennar

Cefnpennar is a small rural village north of the coal mining town of Mountain Ash, Rhondda Cynon Taff, in South Wales. It is approx. 1 mile from Mountain Ash town centre and a bus runs daily. The local schools are Caegraw Primary School and Mountain Ash Comprehensive School. It has five streets which are: The Avenue, Toncoch Terrace, Blackberry Place, Greenfield Terrace.

It has a convenience store / village shop, pub, chapel, parish church and its own golf course named: Mountain Ash Golf Club. Cefnpennar Youth Club is currently running for teenagers who live in Cefnpennar.

In 2000 a community garden was built.
A school was present opposite Toncoch Terrace called Cefnpennar Infant School but later it was shut.

Cefnpennar has featured in the local newspaper named Cynon Valley Leader and South Wales Echo. Also featured on the ITV Wales news. In the year 2000 Cefnpennar featured on Charlie Dimmock's television programme named Charlie's Garden Army
