  • Due to its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, it could be said that Cedeira does not enjoy extreme oscillation in its weather conditions neither in winter nor in summer. The weather is mild all the year around almost as if we were talking about one only season, and that is very different from what happens in other parts of the Iberian Peninsula. Like the rest of Galicia, it is rainy and beautifully green. Still, the summers tend to be a bit dryer than the winters.

[edit] Industry and Tourism

  • Fishing, Trawlers from Cedeira travel across the world to distant places like South Africa, Terra Nova in Canada or the Irish Box to get tons of fish. Most of the fish, specially tuna is put in tin-cans in warehouses locally for later being distributed to different parts of Spain andEurope.
  • Farming, Horse Breeding and Timber production, together with services are the main economic activities, and from the late 1980s Cedeira has develop itself as an attractive coastal resort making good use of its natural beauty and wonderful beaches.
  • The Medieval Fair of Cedeira For the last few years, Cedeira has been reproducing once a year a little Medieval Fair in one of its main squares. So every July, the Holy Heart of Mary’s Square (also “Plaza del Sagrado Corazón”) dresses itself with all the banners and colours, and smells of the medieval period, and a good number of performers cover the square showing the public how the different artisans, merchants, traders and others performed their activities so many centuries ago. At the same time, the streets will be full of small period theatrical shows together with "Punch and Judy sort of" though Middle Ages puppet plays.
