Cedar Township is one of twenty-three townships in Benton County, Iowa, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 533.

Cedar Township covers an area of 43.2 square miles and contains one incorporated settlement, Mount Auburn. According to the USGS, it contains three cemeteries: Engledow, Greenwall and Mount Auburn.
