Cedar Shoals High School is a high school established in 1972 in Athens, Georgia in the Clarke County School District.

Since opening its doors in 1972, the Cedar Shoals family of students, teachers, parents and administrators have worked together to maintain the tradition of excellence in academics, athletics, performance and service to the community. The opening of the new building in 2001 along with the addition of the new Fine Arts building and Field House still brings a renewed level of excitement and enthusiasm.

Cedar Shoals High School faculty has consistently been at the forefront in implementing innovative as well as state mandated procedures and programs. Since 1990, the faculty and staff have participated in collaborative self-governance. This collaboration between administrators, teachers, and other staff encourages our faculty to work together in providing Cedar Shoals' students with a safe, stable and academically challenging environment, and in encouraging students to excel in their behavior as well as in their academics.

[edit] Online Work Permit System
The Georgia Department of Labor has revised their Online Work Permit System, which is available to work permit applicants, employers and issuing offices. Students go to the Dept of Labor Online Work Permit System and follow the directions from there.
[edit] Pepsi Tuition Funding Sources Program
The Pepsi-Cola Company has selected Cedar Shoals High School as one of the few schools in the country to receive the Tuition Funding Sources Program. This program contains the world's largest scholarship database - at least five to ten times larger than any other source. Students at Cedar Shoals get free access to the information. Unlike other scholarship search websites, the TFS website does not collect student names and their other personal information for resale.

Cedar Shoals High School has a student to computer ratio of 3.7:1. It has a variety of both general curriculum and specialized desktop labs as well as mobile computing solutions including both wireless laptops and handhelds. It is a state of the art school with an internal video broadcasting system and a fiber backbone. It is served by technical support personnel and educational technology personnel from the district level.
