Cedar Island is a small, uninhabited and elongated island located in the Niagara River right at the edge of the Horseshoe Falls. Canada has claimed every single island in the area surrounding the Horseshoe Falls except for Goat Island, Three Sisters Islands and Brother Island. This claim is recognized by the United States. The far south point of the island is a popular landing spot for seagulls, thus it is often crowded by dozens of seagulls.
