CBS Television Stations (formerly Viacom Television Stations) is a group of television stations owned by CBS Corporation. Prior to its rebranding in January 3, 2006, it was known as Paramount Stations Group. After the Viacom/CBS merger, Paramount Stations Group was merged with CBS network owned-and-operated stations division to form the Viacom Television Stations Group on May 24, 2000. When Viacom split into two publicly traded companies in 2006, Viacom Television Stations Group was rebranded as CBS Television Stations. As of 2007, it owns 28 stations, including 14 CBS(plus two satellites), 9 The CW, 1 MyNetworkTV, 1 MTV Tr3s and 3 stations not affiliated with major networks. Both CBS Corporation and the "new" Viacom are still controlled by National Amusements.
