Coren?
Hi Cbrown, I see you placed the notice, this user/admin seems to be AWOL. Is he coming back soon? No problem, just asking (+ a little bit of concern, but no big deal). Thanks! Franamax (talk) 00:09, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- Coren's been missing due to work commitments. I think last I heard he was in Algeria and thought he would be back by the 26th, but he said he might be held up longer. I don't think there's anything wrong with him, but he's just swamped with work and has very little internet access there. I'm sure he appreciate your concern, though. No consensus?
I fail to see how the result of Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/MuseScore was no consensus. The entire argument was based on the fact that MuseScore was not notable. Someone came in with a source that proved it was notable. The fact that nobody responded to that is irrelevant since AfD is not a vote. If you dispute the latter claim of notability, then that should have been mentioned in the discussion (which makes it a COI for you to close, but hey. Other people exist.) As is, it appears that you ruled with bias towards the deletionists.
I, of course, assume good faith, and say it was an accident. Civility won't let me do otherwise. — trlkly 01:33, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
- There was only one person other than the nominator who thought it should be deleted. Furthermore, the person who linked to "RS coverage" linked to News Archives instead of a Google search which would provide many sources. Based upon the other's arguments, it is actually been noted on About.com. I definitely do not have a COI, I have nothing to do with MuseScore or other software and am shocked that you'd go so far as to suggest that just because my closing didn't agree with your way of thinking. Instead of suggesting that I contributed to the discussion, maybe you should have instead? Either way, you can just nominate it again and plead a convincing case. Maybe then you will get the "delete" result that you want. Cbrown1023 talk 14:31, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
