[edit] About Me
I was born in December 1978 to my lovely parents in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Because my dad was in the Army, soon after my birth we moved to Hanau, Germany. Hanau is in the northern part of what was West Germany. We lived in Hanau for approximately 2 to 3 yrs. All I remember of Hanau is this little tree house my dad would take me to. There isn't too much else I remember of it since I was so small. After Hanau, my dad got orders to Carson City, NV. There I started pre-school at the age of 5. I remember some of Carson City, such as the neon lights and swim lessons. I also remember my sister being born there. I wanted to leave her at the hospital. I still wish mom would have let me give her to the nurses. After Carson City, my family packed up again and moved to Aberdeen, Maryland. Aberdeen is a dump from the onset. There isn't much there, except for a lot of Cal Ripken history. I attended 1st through 3rd(?) grade at Aberdeen Elementry. I do remember going crab fishing with dad and eating raw oysters fresh off the docks, but not too much else. After Aberdump we packed it in and flew off to Giessen, Germany. Gießen is about 50km north of Frankfurt or Rhine-Mein, Germany. I attended Gißen Elementry School while living in a small town about 10km away from base. I remember these years fondly. I loved Germany from the food, the people, the culture, and the stuff we got to do and see. I can still remember going down to the Austrian border and spending the week there every year while my dad attended conferences for work. The neatest thing I remember about those trips was seeing Hitler's Nest. The beauty of Germany is unmatched in my opinion. Sadly we had to move again, this time to Fort Knox, Kentucky. This is where I spent most of my childhood growing up. Dad retired out of the Army after the Gulf war so we moved off base to Radcliff, Kentucky. There isn't much of anything around Ft Knox or Radcliff. The most famous thing of course is the Gold Vault. I wonder what they store in that grey box, if anything? After living there for 10+ yrs that is still a mystery to me. I attended James T. Alton Middle School and North Hardin High School. The most famous thing NHHS is known for right now is Andre' Woodson (UK QB and Drafted in the 6th Rd by the NY Giants). After graduation I joined the US Air Force and moved around a little bit until I was forced out on a medical retirement. While in the USAF I was at Whiteman AFB, MO where I met my now ex-wife Karen and in 2000 we had my son Austin. After getting out of the USAF I moved back to Missouri so I could be close to my son. I now reside in Missouri and don't really do anything for work since I live very nicely on my medical retirement from the US Air Force and the Veterans Affairs.
[edit] Hobbies
I love any time I can hang out with my son and spend quality time with him. It doesn't matter what we do. I say a bad day with him is better than a good day doing anything else. I enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, camping, BBQ'ing, snow shoeing, snowboarding, basicly anything outdoors. I enjoy most fantasy sports. Recently I have gotten into Dynasty Basketball on Whatifsports.com and I am addicted to it. I love any type of sports epecially extreme sports that push the human boundries. I love trying new foods, things, or going to new places. I am very open minded and will try almost anything once (as long as it is within my morals and legal).
