The CAW Local 222 is a local union of the Canadian Auto Workers union (CAW). Founded in 1937 as the United Auto Workers Union Local 222, it represents approximately 22,000 members at worksites from Pickering, Ontario, to Lindsay, Ontario, to Cobourg, Ontario. The largest worksite is with General Motors Canada in Oshawa, Ontario as well as Durham Region Transit. Local 222 is Canada's largest private sector local Union.
