Hi there — I had to perform a revert on your edit to Villanova University because several edits immediately prior to yours were done by vandals. In reverting to the pre-vandalized article, your changes were eliminated. Please feel free to re-edit. Dppowell 01:50, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] April 2007

A tag has been placed on Corey Fisher, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Umalee 01:40, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Fair enough. I've restored the article so you can add a rationale to keep it (and preferably, sources to establish the subject's notability). Please take note that restoring it is not an endorsement on my part to keep the article. I'll leave the final decission to another admin. Have a nice day! Phaedriel - 02:13, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

The article Corey Fisher has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. High school athletes are not considered notable. Wait and see if he does anything at Villanova, at least. [edit] History of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Hi there. I saw that you were looking to get involved in projects involving the History of Pittsburgh. I wanted to let you know that the History of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is currently a featured article candidate. Another user has done most the work on it, but when it failed FAC the first time I think he got discouraged and left. I am trying to make all the necessary edits to get it to pass this time. If you have a chance to take a look, make any recommendations, and either support or oppose its nomination, I would appreciate the input. Thanks PadreNuestro 01:42, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Villanova Wildcats men's basketball 2007-08 season

I wrote this over on the article talk page, but since you are the main contributor I wanted to make sure you saw this message. There is a precedent that college basketball yearly articles should be named with the year in the beginning followed by the school, and the nickname (see the articles in this category here). Unless there are any real objections or a good reason not to, the article should be moved to 2007-08 Villanova Wildcats men's basketball team. If you disagrees we should discuss it on the talk page, but if not it should be moved (I'll do it in a few days if no one else does and no one objects). Phydend (talk) 15:51, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
