I am a current young automotive student at Stark State College, also a 2000 Graduate of Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio for Culinary Arts and a 1996 Graduate of Timken Sr. High. I am also building a show car/track monstercalled Trojan One.
The Legend of Trojan One: Trojan One was an idea for a car that I have had ever since the summer of 1992. I was 15 when I joined The Timken High School Marching Band that summer. Trojan One was to be originally a 1992 Z24 Cavalier. Since I didn't have the money or the right tools needed for the project, Trojan One went on the back burner. Also, I needed a little more automotive training. A few years later, in 2004, I began my automotive degree at Stark State College. In FEBUARY of the fallowing year (2005), I bought a 1991 Cavalier RS, 4-Door sedan. I started out to restore the car to factory specifications. One night when I was working on the car, I began thinking back to my plans for Trojan ONE. I decided to go ahead and build Trojan One using my 4-Door Cavalier RS instead of a 1992 Z24 Coupe IT'S been a year and a half since I began building the car. It feels good to see the car I imagined €œback in the day€?, brought to life. I have done a lot of work on and to the car. It's come a long way but it Isn€™t finished, yet but one day it will be but it will take some time. AS My designs for Trojan One are continually evolving. This car will be and is a tribute to all Trojans: past, present, and future.
I am also a former boy scout and still live the boy scout way. I still go by the Scout Oath and Scout Law:
On my honor I will do my best To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight. A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly Courteous,Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty Brave,Clean, and Reverent. That's all me in a nut shell. I will be getting back into scouts to help put others on the right path.
I still rember all that good scout info, plus I still have my scout book. Thanks for droping by.
The Timken campus (draft 1)
The Timken Campus started as an idea in 1994. Some minor work was started in 1995/1996 school year. The project did not receive the green light for a full go ahead until 1999. The project is now finished in 2007, the commons which has not just a new gym named for the great Mr. Frederick C. Harold. It has much more but first a pinch of history. Timken High school in Canton Ohio was built in 1938. Timken was built on the site of the old Central Catholic High School. The commons which is the first area in the new part of the school has a new cafetearia, library, computer lab, the city grill, and much more. One of the many cool things is a book store were you can buy all most every thing Timken. Coming soon a credit union were a student will not only lurn the art of banking but can open an account and if she or he wants to open an account and if a student does open an account and if they for get there lunch money they can get withdraw the cash they need and not go hungry, also an alumni can open an account there for Christmas or what ever is needed. The new and updated Timken is quite nice, there is new and working A/C system to keep students and staff cool in warm weather. The youth of Canton Ohio today have a better chance of succeeding because of the new Timken. This wounderus place gives the kids of today a better chance of making some thing great of them self’s. Timken also has very great opportunities for pregnant teens while having their child and, for non pregnant teens to get an education. The art work from the old library restored and hung in the commons it’s a cool blend of old and new school together. The sky light in the commons has bits of clear glass with blue and gold parts. This fine school has inspired a member of the class of 1996, who is a Timken grad and a current Stark state automotive student to build a tribute car called Trojan One. This car is 1991 cavalier rs/z24 4 door sedan. Timken’s band can practice and perform in there new band room a bit smaller than the old room. They also so can practice in there band room or the schools new gym if the weather is bad. This helps them prepare for any game or band trip out of state or any where. The band’s First band trip to Florida was in 1993. They go every so often to Florida to perform at Disney world and other places in Orlando. Now with the new campus the have a new band room and plenty of practice room out side on the school grounds.
