Cave of Caerbannog

The Cave of Caerbannog is a fictional cave in the 1975 film, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It is home of the Legendary Black Beast of Aaaaarrrrrrggghhh, and is ostensibly guarded by the killer Rabbit of Caerbannog.

In the film, King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table are led to the Cave of Caerbannog by Tim the Enchanter, and find that they must face down both the Rabbit and the Black Beast. Once inside, the Knights find carved in "mystic runes, upon the very living rock" the last chiseled words of Olefin Bedwere of Rheged, which allegedly detail the location of the Holy Grail.

Apparently dictated to Bedwere by a doomed Joseph of Arimathea, the text reads:

"Here may be found the last words of Joseph of Arimathea.
He who is valiant and pure of spirit may find the Holy Grail
in the Castle of Aaaaarrrrrggghhh."

The cave itself can be found on the southern road that runs alongside Loch Tay. Tomnadashan Mine was the location, an abandoned copper mine founded by the 2nd Marquis of Breadalbane.
