Cavan Gaels

Cavan Gaels are a Gaelic football club from County Cavan in Ireland. They are affiliated to Cavan GAA.
Cavan Gaels have appeared in nine of the last ten Cavan Senior Football Championship finals.[1] They are the current title holders after beating Govna 0-15 to 0-11 in the 2007 final at Kingspan Breffni Park.[2] The club thus qualified for the 2007 Ulster Senior Club Football Championship, beating St. Eunan's by a point in the first round.[3] However, they were knocked out by St. Gall's on a scoreline of 0-13 to 0-8.[4] The Gaels are also the 2007 Cavan minor champions, having beaten Lurgan 5-15 to 1-5 in the final - an emphatic win.[5]
Current Gaels player on the Cavan senior team include Michael Lyng, Anthony Forde and Seanie Johnstone.[6]
