Cavan (Dáil Éireann constituency)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cavan is a former parliamentary constituency in Ireland, which from 1921-1977 returned deputies (Teachtaí Dála or TDs) to Dáil Éireann, the lower house of parliament in the Republic of Ireland. It elected three deputies from 1921–1923, four from 1923–1961 and three from 1961–1977.
At the 1977 general election, the Cavan constituency was combined with Monaghan to form the new five-seat Cavan-Monaghan constituency.
