Caucasian Bear
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Caucasian Bear, also known as Trans-Caucasian Grey Bear, lives in the South-East of Armenia. Large scale hunting was first reported at the end of the 19th century. Their reduction in numbers has reached a critical level. Man is its only predator. Broadening economic activity and human persecution of this animal make them frequently change their area of settlement. Since 1969, the licensed hunt for Trans-Caucasian Grey Bear has been officially prohibited.
