Sorry to tell you this but I am very Dominican, from San Pedro.

And whats up with the threats? We are allowed to express our opinions. When I was a kid my grandfather told me the Juan Pablo Duarte was a racist and so did alot of his freinds. That was when I lived in San Pedro. Some of us Dominicans have known the truth and just been quiet. Now I don't agree what everything Taina Mirabal said in the paper, but a least she was brave enough to say it. A lot of us have known it for years that Duarte was a racist, so this is nothing new.

You cannot base your statements on the mere opinion of your grandfather, that is why they are call opinions. And if you cannot probe them beyond the reasonable doubts you shouldn't be posting this in Wikipedia, which is read by a lot of people. You should keep your personal opinion to yourself and share it with people surrounding you, or make a blog about it, but not put it in such a trust worthy media as Wikipedia.(talk) 07:20, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Its not like JPD is your actual father. he didn't give birth to you. the island would still be there if he never came along. The palm trees would still be there and all of the beautiful mountains and beaches. JPD didn't make them. he was not god. he was just a man that happend to be very racist. so what!
