[edit] Bubs

You added how Bubs thinks that women can't drive. That line is taken out of context. Bubs was delivering a failed stand-up act and that one line came out at random. I am going to remove those references.--Jnelson09 18:09, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fictional psychopaths

It's always great to see a young adult like you learning and contributing what he knows to the community. I am glad you have taken the time to look at my edits to the category Fictional psychopaths, but I respectfully disagree with your choice to revert most of the edit (except the merger proposal).

Hervey Cleckley's checklist from his book The Mask of Sanity: An Attempt to Clarify Some of the Issues About the So-Called Psychopathic Personality (5th ed., 1988) has provided a useful start for people researching psychopathy, but his list has been superceded by Robert D. Hare's Psychopathy Checklist–Revised (PCL–R) for research and diagnosis. The 1988 copyright date on The Mask of Sanity is somewhat misleading as this was a revised edition published by a relative (I presume after Cleckley's death).

Psychopathy has been a major focus of study for me, and I'm interested in seeing this category let interested users discover that psychopathy is not synonymous with evil. For example, Carl Denham from the 2005 remake of King Kong displayed many psychopathic traits, but I doubt most moviegoers would conclude he's evil (reckless and manipulative, yes).--NeantHumain 19:44, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your requested Template

I have finished your requested template for the Crash Bandicoot series characters. It is located at Template:Crash Bandicoot series characters and is currently placed on the Crash Bandicoot (character) page. I will leave it up to you to finish the contents of the template, as my knowledge of Crash Bandicoot is very limited.--SomeStranger(t|c) 11:00, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sonic edits: Use a template

It seems that you have been inserting a makeshift infobox on many Sonic characters' pages. The code you wrote is very long and takes a while to scroll through. Might I suggest making a template that would conform with Wikipedia standards and be small? Check out the template infobox at 2005 Atlantic hurricane season by looking at the code. See how small it is, yet it encompasses so much? Maybe that guy who made your Crash Bandicoot template above can help.

Instead of:

|Name || Miles Prower
|-
|Nicknames || Tails, Shorty
|-
|Species || Fox (possibly a Red Fox)
|-
|Gender || Male
|-
|Age || 8

Your template could do this:

Name=Miles Prower
Nicknames=Tails, Shorty
Species=Fox (possibly a Red Fox)
Gender=Male
Age=8

Also, a few suggestions for the "soon-to-be-template": Remove the standard image box (example: [[Image:Sonic.jpg]]) for it looks ugly, and center the image inside the infobox. As it stands, all the images are on the right, which looks bad. Thanks! -- RattleMan 08:37, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] No personal attacks please

Please don't add attacks to users talk pages as you did on User talk:69.37.52.142, to learn how to deal with vandalism correctly see WP:VAND. Thanks.--Andeh 21:53, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Spyro vs. Crash Bandicoot articles

Most of the categorization edits you made to various Spyro articles have been removed. Please keep in mind that the only connection between the Spyro and Crash Bandicoot universes was the crossover pair of videogames, Spyro Orange and Crash Bandicoot purple. That aside, characters appearing in the Spyro universe are not an actual part of the Bandicoot universe, nor vice versa; please do not include them in irrelevant categories.

Thank you. --Stratadrake 01:39, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Talk:Plot_Synopsis_of_8-Bit_Theater

Hi,

could you take the time to pop over to that article and read over my criticism? Thanks. --R. Wolff 19:18, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Okay, thanks for reading it, but could you leave us some feedback? Frankly, the article isn't very good in my opinion (reasons are given on the talk page), and I'd really like your input on the talk page. Thanks. --R. Wolff 12:53, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Messiahs!

They may not behave like messiahs, but I guess you're right. Serves me right for not taking a look at the category first. If Gill from Street Fighter is in there, hell, why not the Light Warriors. =P --R. Wolff 19:32, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edit summary.

Hi. Thanks for updating the categories in the Alien (film) and The Thing articles. Is there any way that you could use an edit summary, so that people can see at a glance what you're doing. Since it looks like you're doing a lot of tedious, helpful work, I think a summary would be nice. Thanks. - Zepheus <ツィフィアス> 23:50, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] One Piece

Hello. I've been working on List of One Piece episodes and I noticed that you added a bunch of edit differences to Luffy's Past! The Red-Haired Shanks Appears!. I don't know if you know of the differences for other episode, but only about half have them so far. It would be awesome if you could add more. Thanks - Peregrinefisher 20:30, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Color vs. Colour

Hi there. I just reverted an edit you made. You changed all the "colour" entries on the page Orange (colour) to "color". I reverted it because the article on orange is standardized to the "colour" spelling, including the title. Don't worry, this is a common mistake: see the Manual of Style. Please don't change the localization of the spelling in an article except to standardize it to a particular spelling if there is mixed usage such as "The color orange is nothing like the colour blue." Regards, Nihiltres 18:04, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

After checking my watchlist today, I realized that you changed each of my standardizations of articles to conform to "color." Moreover, you changed only those pages. This is extremely frustrating for me, especially in the case of Black, where my general lookover (and my edit summary) indicated that the "colour" spelling was much more widely used (see how few I changed). Please comment, I'd like to work this out amicably. Nihiltres 23:39, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
I'm going to change both of Orange (colour) and Blue back to the British spelling, as per the Manual of Style's guideline on resolving these decisions. I will change Orange back to correspond to the spelling used in its title (per the rule that articles should be consistent), and Blue back to correspond to the dialect used by the first contributor. I'll leave Black - despite Cat's Tuxedo's needless change against my change that changed very few instances, it is the dialect of the first contributor. Hopefully this solution, aided by the MoS, can resolve this ultimately pointless conflict. I'll wait until I hear from (both of) you to go ahead and change any of the articles concerned back, to prevent this being construed as more edit warring. I'm posting this on the talk pages of both Zoe and Cat's Tuxedo. Regards, Nihiltres 01:39, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nihongo

Why are you adding nihongo characters to articles? Specifically, this case here. Nihongo is not necessary for articles that are not Japanese in origin. --Jnelson09 00:07, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

I was only trying to improve the article by adding more useful info. Basically, I was only trying to help. Hmmm. Cat's Tuxedo 00:19, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

  • I've been doing that with virtually everything for 8 years now, but unless it's Japanese-related, it's quite unnecessary. Xlittlecloudx (talk) 04:01, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] I Never Met the Dead Man

Well done on your rewording of the plot synopsis on the I Never Met the Dead Man article! I had tried previously to make it more concise, but having not seen this episode, I could only work with what there already was; your edit really made it a lot better, though. Thanks! –Dvandersluis 14:50, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 8-Bit Theater - Cultural References

I can see you're going through the comic archives and listing every single reference you come across in the article. While I'm sure this is a lot of work, I want to advise you to rethink this endeavour in terms of what it will add to the article for the average reader, i.e. someone who isn't familiar with the comic. I made an entry on the article's talk page about this, and your contribution to the discussion will be appreciated. --R. Wolff 20:52, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Article in need of cleanup - please assist if you can

[edit] hey

thanks for keeping the crash article clean. Mike 06:49, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Why thank ye. Since Link (The Legend of Zelda) is the only main video game character with a featured article, I used that as my main reference in my big cleanup of the page. It's a damn shame that so very few video game characters have featured articles. Help us change that, will ya?Cat's Tuxedo 23:24, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Removal of my suggestion

I would like your opinion about the notion that I was "spamming" you by leaving you a message on your Talk page (which was, in turn, deleted by another user who determined it to be spam). Please comment, if you'd like, under my question for the folks at WikiProject Spam. Seems to me that they're going a bit too far censoring Wikipedia users from even TALKING to each other on a Talk page, if there's an external link involved. Was I helpful to you at all, or merely an annoyance? --JossBuckle Swami 17:36, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

I've tagged your recent edit to The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask as unsourced. While it appears to be a decent contribution, it is unsourced so I would be interested to know where you got your information. Thanks. Axem Titanium 05:18, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Well, if you must know, I got it off the Internet Movie DataBase. It's in the Alternate Versions section of the Majora's Mask article. It's right here: [2] Cat's Tuxedo 06:05, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
Oh, that's unfortunate since imdb is notorious for not being the most reliable source when it comes to trivia. Also, I'm not sure if it would fall under WP:COPYVIO since I don't know the copyright status of that page. I'll try to find an alternative source. Axem Titanium 16:37, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Great Job with the Keroro article

I like what you did with the Keroro(this should be moved to Keroro (Sgt. Frog) or something similar) article. It looks a lot cleaner than before especially since there was a truckload of unencyclopedic information. There seems to be a bit of dispute with it, but I think it's all for the better. I hope you'll be able to do the other articles the same way too. InsaneZeroG 02:30, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Dragonball Wiki

  • Hi there. I noticed you're fan of the Dragon Ball series, and I'm trying to recruit some fans from here to contribute to the Dragon Ball Wiki. It's in terrible shape right now with pretty much no consistency or policies, and only this week have I been able to get Angela and Sannse to create some Forums for us over there. I've got a proposed Manual of Style going over there and would like some people to contribute to that to set up some policies and start making the wiki bigger, better, and more intelligible/consistent. If you're interested, please hop on over or talk to me. Thanks for the time, whether you're interested or not. Wildyoda 08:44, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Userpage

Do you mind if I remove (or convert the non-free images on userpage to wikilinks) the non-free images from your usserpage because according to Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria, these kind of images are not allowed on the userpage namespace. Here is an quote taken from it:

Non-free images may be used only in the article namespace. They should never be used on templates (including stub templates and navigation boxes) or on user pages. To prevent an image category from displaying thumbnails, add __NOGALLERY__ to it. They should be linked, not inlined, from talk pages when they are the topic of discussion. This is because it is the policy of the Wikimedia Foundation to allow an unfree image only if no free alternative exists and only if it significantly improves the article it is included on. All other uses, even if legal under the fair use clauses of copyright law, should be avoided to keep the use of unfree images to a minimum. Exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis if there is a broad consensus that doing so is necessary to the goal of creating a free encyclopedia (like the gallery of Category:Replaceable fair use images, which is needed to help people find images to replace). [edit] Just noticed page move

I was looking up the page for an actor in one of the shows whose articles I edit, and I saw that you had moved it to a title utilizing the Hepburn romanicization. While I understand why you did this, it was to the best of my knowledge also in WP:MOS-JA that under WP:MOS-JA#Names of modern figures, you would use the name used by the individual if given in the Latin alphabet for the article. This is why I had originally moved Yūki Satō to Yuuki Sato, because on his personal blog, he utilizes the latter spelling. Now, I know that the move took place nearly three months ago, but I would just like you to know that I undid the move and put it back at the title without macrons due to the subject's personal usage, and that in the future, you can double check to see if that is the case if you perform other WP:MOS-JA based page moves.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 00:48, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Crash Bandicoot assessment

Crash of the Titans (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs)

Before I start, I need to say you watch waayyyy to much anime. I like that.

I assessed the your Crash Bandicoot Crash of the Titans article for GA status and found some problems with the citations for the Story section. If you could work on those, I will finish the assessment tout suite. There is currently a seven day hold on it to allow you to address the issues.

Jeremy (Jerem43 22:45, 9 October 2007 (UTC))

I see you did some work, but there is still two points that need to be addressed:

  1. Please add the |author= and |date= tags to your {{cite web}} references, I looked at many of the cited sources and the information is in the articles on several of the pages including IGN, Gamespot and Gamespy.
  2. I still have some issues with the use of Primary sources in the Story section. I have asked for a second opinion on them just to make sure.

These are the only two things I can see that need to be addressed.

- Jeremy (Jerem43 06:36, 11 October 2007 (UTC))

I got the second opinion and he stated that the references for the story are all set. - It is a GA, congratulations on a good job.

[edit] List of Crash Bandicoot locations

I'm intending on creating a list of Crash Bandicoot locations. Do have any advice for me? ADBandicoot 17:50, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

You should try using the Universe of Kingdom Hearts article as reference. The article should start off with a 'Concept and design' section describing how the areas were created and styled. I suggest looking up Naughty Dog's Crash Bandicoot websites or Radical's Crash of the Titans interview with Crash Mania for info on that. Then it should go into the list of the locations, to which the Wumpa Islands article should be merged. The 'Earth' section should go like this: N. Sanity Island, Wumpa Island, Cortex Island, Iceberg Lab, Von Clutch's MotorWorld, and there might be some others that I'm forgetting. I think other worlds should be included after that, like the Tenth Dimension, the Galaxy Circuit, Hyperspace, places like that. The article should end with a reception page saying what reviewers think of the worlds in different games. Oh, and make sure there's references. Cat's Tuxedo 19:04, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Stefan Gossler

A tag has been placed on Stefan Gossler requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 16:34, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

According to the Manual of Style (Japan-related articles), it is common practice to romanize such names with macrons as to give the title a cleaner look. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 16:05, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] CDi Zelda

Great job on improving the article! If you could possibly write a paragraph on the gameplay of "Zelda's Adventure", this article would be all set for GA nomination, which would be awesome. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 19:37, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

I have no idea what you are talking about. I am talking about your addition of an article to the Zelda FT. Gary King (talk) 00:59, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
