[edit] Etymology?

The etymology in the first section disagrees with the one in Catholicos and in the classical Greek lexicon cited there, as well. The etymology is redundant here and should be removed or simplified. The fact that the Roman empire used the term (which needs a reference) is interesting, but that is not what “catholicos” means. —crism (talk) 16:40, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
