[edit] New page

This is because this version of Catan would take on a whole new life of its own as an XBLA title, including and especially reviews and achievements. JAF1970 21:02, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AI

I have changed the number of different AI personalities refering to the following quote from Big Huge Games' page about Catan. "Players compete online with their friends from around the world or choose from up to 13 dynamic computer personalities." EmilJJ 22:21, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Achievements

I don't know if the current entries are what Xbox live calls them but they aren't really longest road and largest army cards, just longest road and largest army. As far as I know anyway.

Since the game is based on a board game where these concepts are represented by cards, it may be hard to say definitively that the markers or symbols used in Catan are or are not ever referred to as cards. Certainly one can see that the resources have card representations, as if they're being held in a player's hand, and the development cards are referred to explicitly as being cards. I'm not sure about the longest road or longest army icons, though. -- Slordak 19:57, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Trivia

I thought maybe a Trivia section could be added, considering the sound effect that happens when you pause the game is the same as a sound effect from Rise of Nations, another BIg Huge game. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Giamgiam (talkcontribs) 00:45, 9 May 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Screenshot

I do not have the necessary means to create a screenshot that is one of my own, nor can I rationalize fair use; however, the current screenshot is incorrect. This looks like an earlier, more complex, developement screen shot that is inaccurate. The current tiles are simpler, to avoid confusion.

Actually, this is an accurate screenshot. In the settings you can change the skin of the game to look like the one pictured or a simpler one. There is also an mayfair skin that you can download. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.115.220.76 (talk) 20:04, August 29, 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Logo

What moron deleted the Catan logo?!?! JAF1970 (talk) 22:13, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Bear in mind that a lot of the image deletions which have been taking place are being done semi-automatically by tools checking for "invalid fair use rationales" (or some such). Thus, a lot of these deletions are not malicious, but yes, they are destructive nonetheless. --Slordak (talk) 14:19, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Replaced it with another logo, but it wasn't as good as the one that I posted when the game was in pre-release. (sigh) JAF1970 (talk) 16:08, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
