[edit] Career
Cathy Davey released her first album, entitled Something Ilk, in 2004. It had mixed commercial success, though it did lead to a notable and diverse cult following. Her second album, entitled Tales Of Silversleeve was released on October 12, 2007; recording a lot of it herself in her home and then finishing it with Liam Howe of Sneaker Pimps. This proved to be a very successful move as it led to a Choice Music Prize nomination for 2007 Irish Album of the Year. [1]
Cathy also appeared on the Elbow track "Grace Under Pressure" and the Autamata track "Jellyman". She also supported R.E.M. on one night during their sold-out Live Reheasrsal shows at the Olympia in Dublin in the summer 2007.
