Catherine Quinol

Catherine Quinol, aka Katrin, is a model best known worldwide as "the icon" of the piano-house trio Black Box, lip synching to vocals provided by Loleatta Holloway, Martha Wash and Heather Small on single releases. These songs include:

• Fantasy

Born on the French Caribbean Islands of Guadeloupe, Quinol was raised in Paris, France where she completed her studies. She made her debut in the haute couture world at an early age, working as a model for famous fashion designers.

A group of producers noticed her in a disco and launched in the entertainment world in 1989. From here she launched a music career of lip-synching to pre-recorded Black Box music tracks in both music videos and live performances. Despite claims to the contrary, she has never contributed musically to any of Black Box's hits.
