Catherine Carr (born May 27, 1954 in Albuquerque, New Mexico) is an American swimmer and olympic champion. She competed at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, where she received a gold medal in 100 m breaststroke, and a gold medal in 4 × 100 m medley relay. [1]

She held the world record in 100 m breaststroke, long course from 2 September 1972 to 22 August 1974 (1:13.58). She was part of one relay world record.

Carr was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1988.[2][3]
