Catherine Britt (born December 31, 1984 in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia) is a country music artist who has had success in both her native Australia and in the United States. She moved to Nashville, Tennessee, United States in 2004, and has charted several singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts in the U.S., in addition to releasing four studio albums over the years. Her highest charting single to date, "The Upside of Being Down", peaked at #36 on the country music charts in 2004.

In 1999, Catherine independently released her debut EP, In The Pines. She was signed to ABC Country and recorded her first album, Dusty Smiles and Heartbreak Cures, in 2002. In 2004, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee and was soon signed to RCA Nashville. Her American debut single, "The Upside of Being Down", peaked at #36 that year. She has since been dropped from their roster.[1]
