Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception

Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is a shared name of many cathedrals of the Roman Catholic Church, especially in the United States. They are all named after the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title of The Immaculate Conception.

Several of the churches titled Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception have attained the papal honor of being consecrated as basilicas.

Finally, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception is also named after the Blessed Virgin Mary. Although it is a basilica it is not a cathedral church.
