This song was covered by Brazilian singer Zelia Duncan. Her version, which features similar arrangement but lyrics in portuguese, was released in her second homonimous album (1994) and became a smash hit in Brazil. Since then Zelia has been a major artist in the country, and "Catedral" (the Brazilian title of the song) is still considered a classic tune. The translated version has also been covered by other Brazilian artists, like Renato Russo (from Legião Urbana) and Leandro (from duo Leandro e Leonardo).
