Catching the Big Fish: Meditation, Consciousness, and Creativity is a book by David Lynch that discusses his experiences with Transcendental Meditation since he began practicing TM in 1973 how it relates to filmmaking and other creative arts.
The title refers to Lynch's idea that "ideas are like fish. If you want to catch little fish, you can stay in the shallow water. But if you want to catch the big fish, you've got to go deeper."
All proceeds from the book are donated to the David Lynch Foundation For Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace.
Catching the Big Fish is also available as an audiobook, with Lynch performing the reading.
