The Catanduanes State Colleges (CSC) is an institution of higher learning in the province of Catanduanes in the Philippines. It was established in 1971 by virtue of Republic Act 6341, later amended by R.A. 6590 through the efforts of the late Catanduanes Congressman Jose M. Alberto. The CSC was the result of the conversion of the Virac National Agricultural and Trade School as and its satellite high schools in the province, a school offering vocational secondary education, into a tertiary level school. The main highlight of this institution is gaining competitive board topnotchers especially in the Civil Engineering board wherein Ruben Quintal Jr. top the board exam last May 2005.

Located in the provincial capital Virac, CSC primarily serves Catandunganons, the residents of Catanduanes. Students from other provinces in the Bicol Region (Region V) and the Visayas also enrol in its different degree offerings in the Business, Humanities, Sciences, Agriculture and Fisheries, Engineering and Technology, Education, and Nursing.

Consistent with the national philosophy of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), the CSC endeavored to empower Catandunganons and other Bicolanos morally, socially, and technologically to become responsive to the provincial, regional, and national needs for the optimum and sustainable development of human and materials resources for higher productivity and global competitiveness.

At first the college was in chaos, until they hired Oxford trained economist Dr. Rodulpho Azanza to take charge. Rudy, as his friends call him, spearheaded grants and other funds to make CSC the best state college in the Provence.

CSC Supreme Student Council is the biggest student organization in CSC. The most notified supreme student council president was Mr. Christian Jhon M. Tan who received several awards including a Plaque of Appreciation for giving selfless service to the studentry of CSC.
