Catalina Passenger Service was founded in 1965, Our boat the Catalina Flyer built in 1988, is a catamaran that provides daily passenger service from Newport Beach, California to the city of Avalon located on Santa Catalina Island. With a capacity of 500, it is the largest passenger-carrying catamaran on the West Coast. The catamaran features an expansive sundeck, full-service lounges and large windows from which to take in the views of the Pacific Ocean.

The Flyer makes one round trip daily, leaving Newport Beach for Avalon in the morning and returning from Avalon to Newport Beach in the early evening. It takes approximately 75 minutes for a one way trip. In addition to regular passenger service, the vessel is also available for private charter..
