[edit] Early Years

The band entered the studio in December of 2004 where they recorded and in February of 2005 released their debut EP "Hollowed Be Thy Grave" (No longer in press). In July of that year Catalepsy recorded another EP "The Decapitation of Eros" (No longer in press) which had wide spread circulation through the Central Florida scene. For the next two years Catalepsy played show after show all over central Florida spreading their name to all different kinds of fanbases. In May of 2006 Catalepsy went on hiatus. All went quiet in central Florida, as everything that is heavy went dormant. Then suddenly in August of 2006, Catalepsy was back with a new, brutal sound and all new lineup.

[edit] Signing to Stillborn Records

In 2007, Catalepsy signed to Jamey Jasta's record company, Stillborn Records. They released their first well known cd, Godless Ep|Godless in 2007. Only 1000 were printed. Since the release of Godless, they have made a name for themselves touring with Hatebreed in December 2007 on Stillborn Fest. On May 13, 2008, Catalepsy released their first full length album Iniquity. The cd included newer versions of 3 songs on the Godless Ep, while the 2 other songs were the same recording as the Godless Ep.
