Due to the series that is known as Case Closed in English-speaking regions is known as Detective Conan in other countries, and both of them have two parallel naming regimes-- and even within the English-language edition, FUNimation anime and Viz Media manga are not consistant with their name usage, a list is needed to clarify all names used.

[edit] Description of Fields

JA-common: The name in Japanese version that is the most commonly used. Hence it's Shin'ichi Kudo, not Kudou Shin'ichi; it's Vermouth, not Berumottu.

kanji: The character's name in kanji. If the character's name is solely katakana, do not fill this field.

kana: If the character's name is entirely in katakana, fill the name in this field.

Hepburn:The name in kanji/kana fields in Revised Hepburn romanization.

FUNi: The revisionized name as used by FUNimation in their dubbed anime.

Viz: The name as used by Viz in their translated manga.

Note:

1. If FUNi and Viz fields are identical, they would be combined into a field called Name in English version.
2. The title of the table take the following precedents:
   1. The FUNi field, then
   2. The JA-common field.
