[edit] Re:- Dillon
It may be assumed by some fans that he died, but his death was neither shown onscreen or mentioned by other characters. The last we saw/heard of him was him lying in resus, but there was no confirmation of his death; so I'm not sure he should be listed under deaths. --John24601 22:16, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
- He isn't listed as dead, he's listed as a former cast member. (StudentSteve 11:08, 3 February 2006 (UTC))
- He is now, somebody removed him from the dead list after I posted that comment ;-) --John24601 13:06, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cast template
Could the Cast sections over at the Holby City article be used as a template for Casualty's? This would offer a continuity across the sister shows' articles... --DBD 17:18, 16 March 2006 (GMT)
[edit] Re-organise the page
Just though I'd float the idea - since this page is getting huge, do you think there's a case for splitting it up - perhaps moving the episodes out to another page in the style of List of The Simpsons episodes? --Mortice 17:26, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Neutrality of Theme Music and Opening Credits Sections
The sections do not have a neutral point of view - they seem to be written giving opinions on the quality of the credits/music compared to the others. Dannyboy3 19:13, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- Are the theme music and opening credits considered in someway groundbreaking? Why are they given so much space? Especially copared to details of the actual content of the show. 149.244.249.1 11:36, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Openingtitlesseries1.jpg
Image:Openingtitlesseries1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Charlie Fairhead
Just wondered if it was still accurate to state him as being the Nursing Manager when he resigned a few episodes ago? I think it may be useful to say Tess Bateman is (Acting) Nursing Manager and have a brief mention of Charlie's whereabouts. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Londonsista (talk • contribs) 01:48, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Ruth Winters
Hi
I posted an addition to the list of deaths of staff on Casualty column. I wrote that Ruth Winters commited suicide by hanging herself. My addition has been taken off. I think the reason for it being taken off is because Ruth's death has not occurred in the series yet. However, it has been comfirmed that she will hang herself on Feb 2 2008. I am going to restore it, but I'm putting this topic up for debate just to show that I'm not vandalising the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by George.millman (talk • contribs) 09:09, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- As I said in my edit summary both times I removed the addition, it doesn't belong on the character deaths list not only because it hasn't happened yet, but because the character doesn't die! Georgia Taylor recently extended her contract a further 18 months - she's not going anywhere. Frickative (talk) 10:02, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
I'm sorry, that must have been my mistake. I did read on holby.tv that she hangs herself, but maybe she survives, I don't know. I'll just have to wait and see! Sorry about that! George
[edit] Infobox Thing
Dunno what it's called, it's the 'Holby' box at the bottom of the article that links to Holby related articles. I was just wondering why it says 'episodes' when it should be 'series'...if that makes sense. Like when you click 'episode' 22 of Casualty, it takes you to series 22. Does that make any sense?! :P londonsista | Prod 21:38, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks to whoever clarified the box! londonsista | Prod 05:13, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] ED/A&E
The amount of times I come here commenting makes me look like a stalker but anyway....intro was changed to say 'Accident and Emergency Department' or something to that effect, but later on in the article it states: The drama concerns a group of doctors, nurses and administrators who work in the Accident & Emergency department (since Series 18 termed the Emergency Department (ED)). And as far as I know to this day they still call it ED rather than A&E. So I just thought I'd point that out... :)londonsista | Prod 18:46, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Howdy! Yeah I changed the term, the term 'Emergency Department' sounds like an American term... I did notice the other mention to 'ED' during the latter parts of the article. I did see an image on the official website with the words 'ED', so it may be that they refer to it as 'ED' in the actual show... The reason I thought it needed changing was that the common British term for the department is A&E (in previous years, 'Casualty') rather than the American 'Emergency Department'. But open to other opinions! BNC85 (talk) 21:13, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, it is a kinda Americanised term! I guess I'm so used to hearing it referred to as ED in the show, tbh I don't see any real harm in refering to it as A&E (because, as you said, it's a more common British term), I was probably just nit-picking as usual! londonsista | Prod 00:13, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
The terming of Accident and Emergency departments as "ED" is becoming more common in the UK, most of the hospitals I go to the A&E is referred to by the staff as the ED.Gbarnes 5 (talk) 18:36, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
- I've never seen the show, nor do I know anything about the health care industry in the UK. In the U.S., the term Emergency Department is rare, usually it's referred to as the Emergency Room, hence "ER" (even though in many hospitals it generally consists of more than one room). This doesn't parallel with the terms used in other parts of the hospital, but there are few standards: Pediatrics Department, but Pediatrics Intensive Care Unit, Maternity or OB/Gyn Ward, etc. are all common terms. Just some triva... 69.95.235.168 (talk) 21:50, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- The terms 'Emergency Room' and 'ER' are never used over here. Internally, hospitals might use ED but I would say "I got taken to casualty" or "I got taken to A&E".ChimpanzeeUK (talk) 10:12, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] List of deaths
Max Gallagher’s son was a minor character, but he probably appeared more often than the female police officer who died - so should he not be included in the list of character deaths? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.107.92.82 (talk) 15:20, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Casualty 1907
I'd argue that it's not "totally unrelated bar a similar title"; it's unrelated bar a similar premise and setting (the casualty ward of a hospital) and the same title, which was chosen deliberately by the BBC as a reference to their pre-existing successful hospital show. Maybe that isn't enough make it worth detailing here, but is it enough to make it worth mentioning? (Maybe someone who actually watched it could give it its own article, and their could be a brief mention linking to that?) Daibhid C (talk) 21:11, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
- I removed the mention from the article based upon the content of the section - it had its own subheading but was just a two line stub, and even said the two shows were 'unrelated'. If there's been any coverage in the media which mentions the fact that the BBC deliberately gave it the 'Casualty 1907' title to capitalize on Casualty's success, then we could definitely mention that, as long as it can be sourced and verified. Frickative (talk) 21:35, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
- There we go, re-included with a couple of relevant citations from the Times and Guardian. Frickative (talk) 23:04, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
I'd argue that Casualty 1907 should have it's own page since it is treated as a standalone series.--86.22.157.47 (talk) 21:06, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- Be bold. Start one. All this article does is provide a very brief treatment of its relationship to Casualty, not serve as a replacement for a Casualty 1907 article. Frickative (talk) 21:50, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
I've don't think they are related so I made new pages see Casualty 1907 but they could do with a bit of revamping Jamesplummett (talk) 20:52, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
