[edit] Castlevania DS

Castlevania DS is just a temporary name until the official name of the game is released.  :) Of course, future Castlevania games for the Nintendo DS may be parked here before they have names as well. Eric42 17:19, 2 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Dario Merger

I suggest the Dario stub be merged into this article, Dario seems to be a minor charactor from this game. Can a Castlevania fan advise? Smitz 19:37, 20 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Contains copyrighted material?

I think some of the character descriptions are lifted right out of the in-game dialogue. Check?

68.151.133.253 04:59, 29 December 2005 (UTC)

Some of them are slightly similair to the game descriptions, though not enough to invoke a major edit.

[edit] Weapons List

Should we bother to create a list of every weapon in the game for WikiBooks? If I remember correctly, Double Jump's guide has such a list, and we could simply cite them as a source. Or maybe there should just be a pool of weapons that everyone has unlocked/purchased. Discuss, or perhaps don't.

[edit] Julius Mode - Yoko

I don't think Yoko really says "Arikado." Since the game uses Japanese voice samples, she's just pronouncing Arukado, which would be Japanese for "Alucard." Unless someone can cite an independent source saying that she's intended to be calling "Arikado," I think that line should be removed. Demota 20:52, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Merge

The other article (Castlevania:dawn of sorrows) is basically an un-wikified stub, so any useful information should be merged to this article and then the other article should be turned into a redirect. ˑˑˑ Talk to Nihonjoε 20:38, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hammer was originally going to be playable?

"However, an analysis of the game's ROM revealed unused dialogue that hinted that Hammer was once planned to be playable in this mode." -- I'd like to see more information on this. There aren't any links to websites where this is discussed; as it stands it's unattributed. I'll give it a week before I delete it. -- DocSigma 14:15, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Stats

Can someone add a definition of what exactly CON, INT, STR, et al are? GodzillaWax 20:44, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Trivia Addition (Need Help)

I was going to edit this article and talk about the Julius Mode final boss, but I can't do it because a certain article on Vlad Tepes contradicts what I was going to write. It concerns the portrait that hangs in the background of the Final Boss room in Julius Mode. Initially I thought it was that of Vlad Tepes, which would make sense, but it's nothing of the sort. Whose portrait is that? Wolf ODonnell 12:35, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

It's a stylized, romanticized portrait of Soma Cruz himself. He's Dracula now, after all. It sent shivers down my spine when I first saw it. --DocSigma 13:05, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

Really? That doesn't make much sense, seeing as Soma is grey-haired and the guy in the portrait isn't. Do you have a reference for this info? Wolf ODonnell 11:45, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Nope, no source. That's why I didn't put it on the main page. The hair is a tricky issue but he just looks like Soma to me. Of course that's completely un-encyclopedic... anyway, I'm trying to find a source. No luck so far. I'm probably wrong. :( -- DocSigma 15:39, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

I'm sure it must be someone famous though, but I know it isn't Bram Stoker. Wolf ODonnell 21:11, 16 August 2006 (UTC) 69.154.34.100 03:14, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Should we include that the castlevania intro is used to gauge the speed of flashcart adapters?

No, not really, and I wish you wouldn't stick your comment on the end of mine, so it looks like I wrote it. And I wish you'd sign your comment so we know who you are. Wolf ODonnell 10:10, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Article needs work

This article needs more references to back up its statements. I've started a new Development section and a new Reception section. These must be expanded if we want this article to become Good Article status, if not Featured Article status. May I ask kindly that we leave the Trivia section well alone and start work on these two sections? Wolf ODonnell 13:49, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Awards and Reception Expansion

This section needs expanding, specifically the reception part of the article. It doesn't need too much expansion, however, merely a few more good points about the game and a few more negative points. Wolf ODonnell 15:57, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] GA nom

I've nominated this article for GA status after rewriting it. Please improve it in any fashion possible. Regards, Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 10:12, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
