What is the source of the claim that castleisland has the second widest main street in ireland?

When the town was build, it consisted of small thatched houses or 'bothans' as they were called. When these houses were being replaced the new ones were build at the back of the old ones and eventually the old 'bothan' in front were demolished, thus leaving a very wide street.

- Castleisland Resident

Castleisland is no longer just a wide street with fields on either side. Huge developments are being built along the roads off Main Street.

Shouldn't the Mick Doyle mini biography in the Famous People section be a seperate entry?

[edit] Population

There has been a large increase of housing developments around Castleisland recently so the population has greatly increased since the last census. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.41.100.27 (talk) 20:30, 4 March 2007 (UTC).
