[edit] Information / details required
- Which Comyn son drowned in the well near the castle? Was the Chapel actually built because of this?
- Are there any accurate and specific construction dates for the castle or chapel (rather than educated guesses)?
- Did "Walter Comyn" (one of William Comyns sons) have anything to do with the castle (his name sometimes crops up on google searches on the subject).
- Where is William Comyn recored as gifting wax to the chapel- is this in the Book of Deer?
- Does the "great storm" of 1720 have a specific name in historical accounts (that would make it easier to trace in relation to destruction and damage etc..)?
- Who conducted the 1980s excavations, are there any books available?
- Are there any public domain images of:
-
- the castles floor plan?
- a photo of Castlehill?
