Kuban is main river of North Caucasus, species former area was from Black to Caspian see. Kuban river is on a half way Bogomolov.PL (talk) 18:53, 11 January 2008 (UTC) And one more possible: Exists tradition to use in latin nomeclature locality (region) ancient names. Daghestan and North Caspian coast of Azerbaijan medieval name was Kuba khanate (it is town in North Azerbaijan with this name). So no relation to Cuba and Castro.
