Hi there. A few years back, I visited Cascade Idaho and nearby Warm Lake (the biggest lie in Idaho) with some friends. We saw an old flatbed truck that looked like it was used on a farm or for forest service or some similar usage. The truck had/has a plaque on it that says, "On this site in 1897 nothing happened". We took a picture of the plaque, laughing at it, and not really thinking what it might mean. But it came up in conversation again, and I was wondering if anyone knows what happened in 1897 in Cascade? We were thinking that maybe it became a city then, but that's just a guess.
