Description

Main entrance of the Castle of Gruyères in Switzerland (West Side). The left and right bronze shields, respectivly representing Mars (1997) and Venus (1999), were created by Patrick Woodroffe. Over the entrance the openings of the ancient Drawbridge are still visible, the front yard was originally a moat.
