Castletown Railway Station is an original station on the Isle of Man Railway situated on the northeastern edge of Castletown, beside Pulsom Park. The station houses a ticket office and waiting room and was extensively renovated in the winter of 1993/1994, most notably at this time the station canopy (which was not original) was removed. There is also car parking available for travellers. The Thomas and the Magic Railroad movie was partially filmed at the station, forming the basis of "Shining Time Station" in the story and the building and its environs were considerably disguised for this purpose, with a temporary canopy being built in the place where the original had once stood.
