Castlemaine Football Club

The Castlemaine Football Club is an Australian rules football club based in Castlemaine, Victoria, Australia.
It is a member of the Bendigo Football League.

Formed in June 15, 1859 in an era before codified rules, but Australian rules was popular in the goldfields region.
Without a league, the club was on and off during its first decade.
The club was a foundation club of the Victorian Football Association when it was formed in 1877.
The original uniform was a white cap with royal-blue Maltese cross. Now wears vertical black and white stripes.
In 1925, Castlemaine joined the Bendigo Football League.
