Castle Well is a German heavy metal band founded in 1985. They released two self-financed Records in 1997: "Helpless" an 2006, and "Back for Revenge".

The Band was formed in 1985, and has all the original band members. The name was originally "Bloody Mary". In 1988 they changed the name to Castle Well. The musical influence they have is in a wide range: They are influenced by music from metal bands like Judas Priest, Savatage, Armored Saint, Metal Church, Riot and many more. They state their influences are:
- Progressive Rock: Triumph, Saga, Rush.
- Seventies: Thin Lizzy, Sabbath, Uriah Heep.
- Classical: Wagner, Beethoven, Bach, Holst.
As of 2007, Castle Well had recorded seven Demo Tapes, and unreleased tracks. In 1997, they released their debut album "Helpless". Helpless had good reviews worldwide[citation needed]. Some Radio programs in the United States, Greece and Germany, have played songs from the album. In November 2004, they released their most recent album, "Back For Revenge".
The theme of the album is said to be taken from the late Middle ages.[citation needed]
