[edit] Academic structure
In the 1980s the school was an unwieldy institution with poor performance, discipline and security. By 1994 this had been turned round by the then principal Dori Collazo-Baker with the establishment of three mini-schools. Each mini-school has its own speciality allowing parents to choose which suits their children best.[2]
In a notable project for dealing with cultural and linguistic diversity, one of the mini-schools, International Studies, was set up.[3]
