Castelveccana is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 70 km northwest of Milan and about 20 km northwest of Varese. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,024 and an area of 20.9 km².[1]

The municipality of Castelveccana contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Caldè, Nasca, Pessina, Ronchiano, Sant'Antonio, Sarigo, Castello, Orile, Pessina, Saltirana, Rasate, Bissaga, Biogno, Pianeggi, Pira, and San Michele.

Castelveccana borders the following municipalities: Brenta, Casalzuigno, Cittiglio, Ghiffa, Laveno-Mombello, Oggebbio, Porto Valtravaglia.
