Castelnovo Bariano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Rovigo in the Italian region Veneto, located about 90 km southwest of Venice and about 40 km west of Rovigo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,082 and an area of 37.5 km².[1]

The municipality of Castelnovo Bariano contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Bariano, Bosco, Ca'Rossa, Canaletta, Case Arella, Case Baldelli, Case Chiavichino, Case Gobbi, Osteria, Palazzi Vallicelli, San Pietro Polesine, Sardagnola, and Torricella.

Castelnovo Bariano borders the following municipalities: Bergantino, Carbonara di Po, Castelmassa, Ceneselli, Giacciano con Baruchella, Legnago, Sermide, Villa Bartolomea.
