Castelldefels railway station

Castelldefels railway station serves Castelldefels, in the comarca of Baix Llobregat, in Catalonia, Spain. It is served by RENFE Rodalies Barcelona (Cercanías in Spanish) line R2.

The station has five platforms - platforms 1 and 2 are the through platforms, platform 4 is for trains terminating or starting at the station, and platforms 3 and 5 are bay platforms, sometimes used by trains at the beginning or end of service.

The stations on either side are Gavà (heading towards Barcelona) and Platja de Castelldefels (heading away from Barcelona).

The typical off peak service is:

  • 6tph (trains per hour) to Barcelona:
    • trains at 02 and 32 minutes past the hour, calling at all stations to Sant Celoni via Barcelona
    • trains at 07 and 37 minutes past the hour, calling at Gavà, Barcelona Sants, Passeig de Gràcia, El Clot - Aragó and Sant Andreu Comtal
    • trains at 20 and 50 minutes past the hour, calling all stations to Granollers (Centre) via Barcelona
  • Trains at 02 and 32 minutes past the hour, calling at all stations to Vilanova i la Geltrú
  • Trains at 23 and 53 minutes past the hour, calling at Sitges, Vilanova i la Geltrú and all stations to Sant Vicenç de Calders
