Cassio Werneck is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor, instructor and member of Brazilian Top Team. He is the only actively competing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt in the Sacramento area. cit.. He teaches six days a week including both adult and child classes, Cássio’s goal is to continue to impart his extensive knowledge and experience of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to his students while continuing to learn and improve his game. cit..

Cassio began practicing judo first then began bjj at the age of 17,under an instructor who tended to focus more of self-defense kind of jui-jitsu.This was because his instructor had been a police officer.

Cassio has conducted seminars in the Middle East, as well as the U.S. and Brazil.cit..
